The duo is alone and unsupervised once again! After deciding they have nothing much to say, the lads go rogue and make some surprising discoveries about the commentary track for this episode’s subject, the DVD bonus short Mike’s New Car. They also discuss cheese risks, whether Mark will watch the Indian blockbuster RRR (watching it now lol), and Danny’s love of Netflix films like the Trial of the Chicago 7 in a topsy turvy game segment!!!

In this episode, the lads are joined by writer Sarah Knauf to talk about the first Pixar film not directed by John Lasseter, Pete Docter’s Monsters Inc. Sarah comes on to talk about her favorite movie, and Mark immediately tells her she’s wrong. Danny becomes an Avatar (2009) truther. Come for auteurist analysis. And also the hot trash Danny has watched, and Mark’s takes on mid-length movies. And Joe uses his wisdom to critique the pod. Finally, we’re alone again! Danny takes the opportunity to talk about his New York trip and compares Mark to Jonathan Larson. They discuss Raul Julia and bird representation. The games find a surprising connection in the Wasteland, and then it’s time to talk about their first short in quite some time, For the Birds. It all comes back to, once again, Nicole Kidman and the Riders in the Sky. We should’ve flown in July.
